At the Box-Office
Man (to the clerk). Here is a written request from our school for twenty-five tickets for the first night performance of "Inspector General". It's on the 28th, and today is the 15th. I'm here beforehand to make sure we get tickets.
Clerk. Let me see what I can do for you. The seats needn't all 6e together, need they?
Man. Of course, not! If it's no trouble," please, let me have four seats in the stalls, six seats in the first row of the dress-circle, and the rest in the pit, and on the gallery. We don't want any seats in the boxes.
Clerk. Well, here you are. I've tried to give you seats in the centre facing the stage. Some seats, no doubt, are better than others. On the whole, however, the acoustics in our theatre are very good, and every part of the stage is visible from any seat. Here is the seating plan of the theatre.
Man. Thanks! The seats are all good ones, I see. Oh, yes, will you be able to supply us with a few more tickets in case we need them?
Сlerk. I'm sorry, but we're all sold out.
