Game "Christmas Tree".

Students write as many words (connected with Christmas and New Year) as they can to decorate a Christmas Tree.

INTRODUCING THE TOPIC

I. Vocabulary.

1. Translate the following words:

Різдво, Різдвяні канікули, Merry Christmas, зимня панчоха, вітати, to celebrate, веселий, бажати, Christmas carol, New Year cards, carol singers.

2. Game "A step — a word".

A student makes a step and pronounces a word connected with Christmas and New Year. The more the words — the better for the student.

3. Try to guess what it is.

Christmas is the main public holiday in Great Britain, a Christian festival to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.

In churches people sing Christmas songs, Christmas carols. Sometimes groups of people walk about the streets and sing carols at the doors of the houses. One of the well-known carols is "Silent Night".
